In June 2007 I visited Hong Kong and Guangzhou. A week before my visit southern China was hit with heavy rain and flooding. The only signs of the damage that I saw was a lot of debris floating down the Pearl River. The little boats shown would zip around a small area of the river and pickup junk.
The lights of Guangzhou. Impressive but when compared to Hong Kong..well see for your self.
