I recently spent 12 days in Dubai, UAE. As with most of my business trips I had very little time to explore the area and do anything close to typical tourist activities. I did manage to spend Friday walking around the eastern end Mankhool Road but other than a lot low rent shops and apartments there wasn't much to look at.
Experiencing Dubai is like walking into a mirage. Construction absolutely ever where with roads changing daily, the light rail system being constructed, high rise buildings growing like mushrooms after a rainstorm and 100+ acre developments springing up like weeds. Still trying to figure out who is going to live in all of those million dollar apartments and lease those class 5A office suites.
